Larp Ped

Duck and Salad make fine plate-partners, but nowhere is the cohabitation more delicious than in the Thai dish Larp Ped:  crispy, crunchy, nearly blacked bits of duck meat tossed with a light dressing, lettuce, cabbage shreds, peppers, chiles, green onion slivers, and garlic.  Manivanh does my favorite version in town.  My friend visited a few weeks ago and, after we finished, he literally got an extra order to fly back to the East Coast.
